Common Questions
What do I need to provide?
Your full date of birth, exact birth time (as precise as possible), and the city where you were born. Birth time is critical — even a few minutes changes the Lagna and Dasha period.
I don't know my exact birth time.
We can still do a reading, but with reduced precision. Without birth time, we cannot calculate your Lagna or accurate Dasha periods. We will work from planetary signs and patterns, and note what is uncertain.
How is Vedic astrology different from Western astrology?
Jyotish uses the sidereal zodiac (fixed stars), which places planets roughly 23° behind their Western positions. It also uses a different house system, the Dasha timing system, and a strong focus on the Moon nakshatra. Most people find their Vedic placements more accurate than their Western ones.
Does this tell me my fate?
No — and a chart that claims to do so is misrepresenting what astrology does. Your chart shows tendencies, karmic patterns, and timing windows. What you do within those windows is always your choice.
