What we collect
When you book, we collect what the booking form asks for:
- your name and one contact detail, phone or email
- your date, time, and place of birth, which are what the chart is calculated from
- the questions or description you choose to write
- any photographs or files you upload, for example palm photographs
- your preferred time window for the session
When you pay, Razorpay sends us a payment identifier, an order identifier, and the amount. We never receive your card number, UPI PIN, or bank credentials.
If you use the chat on this site after paying, the messages, any files you send there, and any call transcript produced during a call are stored with your booking.
Why we hold it
Birth details exist so the chart can be cast. Contact details exist so we can reach you about your session. Payment identifiers exist so a payment can be matched to a booking and refunded if needed. We do not use your details for advertising and we do not sell them.
Who else sees it
Only the astrologer running The Karma Compass has access to booking records. Beyond that, data reaches these services and no others:
- Razorpay, which processes the payment
- Formspree, which receives a copy of a paid booking by email so a booking is never lost
- Hostinger, which hosts the site and therefore stores the files
- Umami, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you
- Jitsi Meet, only if you choose to join a video or voice call, and only for the duration of that call
How long we keep it
Booking records and reports are kept so that a past client can ask for their own reading again. If you want your record deleted, write to upadhyaymrid@gmail.com from the address you booked with, or message the number on this site, and we will delete it and confirm. Records we must keep for tax or accounting are limited to the amount, date, and payment identifier.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A short-lived cookie is set for the admin login, and your browser stores a token locally so your own chat thread can reopen. Analytics is cookie-free.
Reviews you post
The feedback wall is public by design. Anything you submit there, including the name you type, is shown publicly on the site. Do not put private details in a review.
Children
This service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about children.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion, at any time, using the contact details on this page. We answer within 30 days.
